Dr. Dettbarn graduated from Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa with a BA in Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and fulfilled his residency at the University of Iowa and Iowa Methodist Medical Center/VA Medical Center, Des Moines in 2000. Dr. Dettbarn completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Truman Medical Center/St. Luke’s Medical Center, Kansas City. He specializes in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine
