What you need to know
about the seasonal flu
Symptoms may include:
Fever (usually high), severe aches and pains in the joints and muscles and around the eyes, chills, fatigue, and/or dry cough.
Who should get vaccinated?
All children 6 months and older, and all older adults should get vaccinated. Anyone who is at risk of complications from influenza, or more likely to require medical care such as pregnant women, those with long-term health problems, and anyone with a weakened immune system or muscle or nerve disorders.
People who are moderately to severely ill or have severe allergies should ask their doctor before getting vaccinated.
